- Huge choice of products, systems and configurations
- Flexible single- and multi-channel systems
- Available in alternative RF bandwidths
- Switchable up to 100 frequencies
Optimising the balance of performance, cost and long-term reliability, the 700 Series combines the legendary Micron audio quality with sophisticated electronic engineering and rock-solid construction. Systems can be
supplied with switching bandwidths up to 48MHz wide, and with up to 100 frequencies, to match performance to budget as precisely as possible and maximise the flexibility for sound recordists, ENG teams and studio
crews.
TX700 Pocket Transmitter
- Electronic modulation indicator
- Switchable bass-cut
- Soft audio limiting with adjustable threshold
- Transmitter battery level indication
- Transmitted low-battery warning system
- +ve and -ve bias for electret microphones
- External powering (+12 to +16V) with TP series leads
- Powering for a wide range of 'Phantom' and 'T' condenser mics
- Input handles mic or line level
Built into a tough, lightweight extruded-aluminium case, the TX700 is designed for the rigours of location recording, with a unique battery
compartment that enables fast and easy battery replacement. The design features a limiter that can be used as an automatic level control, without the usual pumping
effects, and which can also act as a 'distortionless' emergency limiter to prevent over-modulation. The TX700 transmits an inaudible 'low battery voltage' warning signal,
which activates an indicator on the matching Micron receiver.
TX703 Hand-Held Transmitter
- Dynamic or condenser capsules

- Interchangeable condenser capsules
- Wide dynamic range
- Switchable 3-position gain sensitivity
- Switchable 3-position low-cut switch
- Built-in anti-popping filters
- User-accessible ON-MUTE-OFF switch
- Dual low-battery warning
With its alternative condenser capsule options including Omni, Cardioid or Hyper-Cardioid, the TX703 covers all wireless hand-held duties - from ENG and studio
presentation, to live performance. Housed in a tough, machined aluminium body, the TX703 features Micron's unique noise reduction system, as well as the same digitally
-controlled low-noise VCO circuitry as the TX700, for the highest possible transmission quality.
An audio mute position is incorporated, with the gain sensitivity switch and anti-popping filter protecting against overload - even at high sound pressure levels. The
TX703's high signal to noise ratio faithfully accommodates a wide dynamic range, and when used with a Micron 700 Series receiver, it can achieve a quality of sound that is
virtually indistinguishable from a wired system.
SDR770 Small Diversity Receiver
- Very small, high quality receiver
- Multi-purpose design
- ENG/EFP and location sound
- Camera mounting options
- Signal strength and battery voltage indicator
- Mic and variable-line outputs
- Internal or external powering
A true space diversity design, the SDR770 is small and light enough to mount easily onto an ENG camcorder, or attach to a recorder. It is also the basis of our huge choice of multi-channel options for sound
recordists, OB and small studios.
Offering excellent RF performance, with multiple RF stages to give outstanding sensitivity and selectivity, the SDR features the unique Micron noise reduction system
for hassle-free operation in low signal situations, even in hostile RF environments. The robust multipin connector handles audio output and external powering - mic and
balanced high level are available simultaneously, and the variable high-level output can also feed headphones.
The SDR's comprehensive LED display system provides information on received signal strength and battery condition, and also indicates the active receiver section.

SQDC Shoulder Case
The Micron SQDC is a strong leather-cased system that can house up to four SDR770 diversity receivers, with integral antenna distribution and power pack. Signal outputs are via
four XLR connectors, which provide balanced feeds at mic or high level
P48 Phantom Boom
A battery-operated phantom power unit, the P48 Phantom Boom gives wireless freedom to sound recordists and television crews when operating boom-mounted microphones. Also useful for any recording situation where a remote phantom power
feed is required.
- Provides transformer balanced, 48V phantom power
- Compatible with any belt-pack transmitter
- Highly efficient DC-to-DC converter for long battery life
- Integral 1:1 transformer provides DC isolation for microphone and transmitter
- Ultra-quiet noise floor
- 300kHz oscillator to ensure frequency is beyond audible spectrum
DDH2 Dual Diversity Housing
- Up to 4-channel operation from single pair of antennas
- Transformer-balanced audio outputs
- Receivers powered via antenna sockets
- Single power source can drive DDH2, mixer and recorder
- Separate power switching for external equipment
The Micron DDH2 houses two SDR770 diversity receivers, which can be easily removed for independent operation,
and provides maximum flexibility for sound recordists, small studios and rental companies. Compatible in size with most location mixers, it can be used singly as a two-channel
system or two units can be cascaded to form a portable four-channel solution. Powered from an external DC source, the DDH2 features integral antenna and power distribution,
with each SDR770 being phantom powered via internal band-pass RF distribution amplifiers.
Micron MDR762 Dual-Diversity Receiver
- Mains-powered diversity receiver
- Future-proof, DTV-compatible solution
- Dual audio channels in a 1U rack
- Transformer-balanced outputs
- Displays audio and RF levels, and frequencies
- Remote TX low-battery warning
- Easy front-panel frequency selection
- Data ports enable re-programming in the field
The Micron MDR762 is a sophisticated but simple-to-operate dual-diversity receiver, designed for television studio, OB and conference venue applications, and combines
two independent audio channels into a single 1U rack, with each channel’s diversity receiver switchable across 100 frequencies. Two antennas feed the dual channels via
the system’s integral antenna distribution system.
Available with a RF switching bandwidth of up to 32MHz, the mains-powered and frequency-synthesised Micron MDR762 features high-quality transformer-balanced outputs, selectable for microphone or line level, and is
also fitted with convenient front-panel headphone monitoring per channel. Extensive LED displays for each channel allow audio and RF levels to be individually monitored, and also warn of low-battery
conditions in remote Micron 700 Series transmitters. Separate LED indicators continuously display each channel’s selected frequency. Frequencies can be simply selected for each channel via
front-panel pre-sets, utilising the same method as other products in the Micron 700 Series and ensuring operator familiarity throughout the range.
Further operational flexibility is provided by rear-panel data ports, which enable external programming of any 100-frequency sets within the system’s tuning bandwidth.
The range of available RF bandwidths, combined with the system’s 100-frequency capability, ensures that the MDR762 represents a future-proof, DTV-compatible solution.
The audio quality, RF stability and operating range of the MDR762 reflect the high standards set throughout the Micron 700 Series, which has established a strong
reputation for producing results virtually indistinguishable from a wired microphone.
