Miniature Microphones
Small footprint, big sound DPA has no equal when it comes to the 4060, 4061, 4062 and 4063 professional series of omnidirectional miniature condenser microphones. Originally designed for use with wireless
systems in theatre, television and close-miking instrument applications the capsule is smaller than a pencil eraser.
The different microphone types are acoustically identical, but differ in their sensitivity and self-noise to best suit the application.
Three sensitivity levels are available: The 4060 @20 mV/Pa; 4061 & 4063 @6 mV/Pa; and 4062 @1 mV/Pa.
Two different protection grids are supplied and by changing these grids you can acoustically
modify the microphones according to their placement on the body. One gives you a 3 dB boost in the 8-20 kHz range, while the other gives you a 10 dB boost at 12 kHz. You can
also use the grids on instrument miking to get two different sounding mics for the price of one.
The miniatures also have another interesting design feature: The MicroDot connector
system. A tiny but rugged thread-on plug allows you to securely attach a wide variety of adapters. This useful feature effectively multiplies your mic inventory since
you can use the same microphone element on a variety of RF body packs and even with XLR inputs. Because of their small size, these miniature mics show exceedingly
true omni-directionality and therefore, do not need to be aimed directly at the sound source to achieve quality sound. They have a neutral character and round present sound and are very natural in the response.
On stage, the miniature mics are completely undetectable, extremely rugged and reliable. They are easy to put on and with the choice of beige, white or black cable
you can always hide them. Manufactured to exacting standards they are tailored to handle heat, humidity and sweat as well as wind and popping.
4063 Low Sensitivity & DC
The 4063 is acoustically identical with the 4061 (sensitivity adjusted to 6mV/Pa) however, the FET preamp in the input stage is designed for working with lower supply
voltages to match systems with power supplies delivering down to 3VDC.

Miniature Microphone with Presence Boost
Optimal speech intelligibility The 4071 is an omnidirectional miniature condenser microphone designed for performing talent in television broadcast and film applications. Its frequency res ponse is customised for clarity of voice in body-worn and hidden applications, with low-end roll off and presence boost, making
this a better sounding microphone to use in the field and on the set. Placing a microphone on a performer's chest will cause the sound to lose clarity.
To achieve optimal comprehension in
speech applications, this inconspicuous mic features a customised frequency response with a permanent 5 dB soft boost at 4-6 kHz. This so-called
"presence area" is the range where the human ear is most sensitive and is also the range of speech intelligibility, clarity and definition. The lo-cut feature will add up
more headroom in the total signal path, because the cut is done acoustically at the capsule before pre-amp and wireless transmitter.

DAD6024 provides a 3 dB attenuation around 800 Hz. This will make the voice become appreciably clearer. A combination of DAD6024 and th e 4071 Miniature Microphone
makes your recording capable of going directly to track or on air without editing.
DAD6024 Adapter is available individually or as part of the EMK4071 Microphone Kit for ENG/EFP.
The 4071 Miniature Microphone is available individually or included in the EMK4071 Microphone Kit for ENG/EFP and FMK4071 Microphone Kit for Film.
Miniature Microphone Headbands
The 4065 and 4066 use the same tiny microphone element and are acoustically and electrically identical to the 4061 Miniature Microphone.
4065 Headband
The 4065 headband offers maximum performance for stage, broadcast and home studio applications. It is designed for everyday use on the same performer. The
headband is exceptionally lightweight and easily formed to the individual shape of each performer’s head, providing a firm yet comfortable fit.
4066 Adjustable Headband
The 4066 is a flexible miniature microphone
solution, primarily made for head mounting on actors, public speakers, broadcast hosts, musicians and singers. The system is quickly and simply adjusted – and extremely versatile.
It is particularly suitable in environments, where there is a different user every day. The headband features an outstandingly robust construction and provides a choice between left or right mounting.
4067 Low Voltage Headband The 4067 is a low DC and extra low sensitivity version of the 4066, with which it is acoustically identical. Also, the built-in FET
preamp is designed for working with systems delivering down to 3 V power supply. The 4067, furthermore, features an acoustical 6dB/octave lo-cut (-3 dB at 40 Hz).
Special adapters have been developed for compatibility with low voltage systems.

Cardioid Headband
The 4088 is a miniature cardioid headband designed for acoustically demanding live performance environments. In high SPL events and when feedback is a concern, the
4088 will tackle these challenges with ease. The sound is open, clear and natural and usually does not need equalisation as you will hear the sound of the voice right away - not the microphone.
The capsule is hidden in a small and ult ra-light-weight housing. The bass response is designed for optimal linearity at 2-3 centimetres (about
1 inch) from the sound source. This means that the bass roll-off will be relatively prominent at a greater distance - a paramount factor when it comes to rejection of background noise and in the fight to avoid
feedback.
The mechanical design is based on the proven construction quality of the 4066 headband microphone. The headband mount is exactly the same, however the
boom is 3 centimetres longer, to match the need for placement at the corner of the mouth. To avoid "popping", the element should not be put directly in
front of the mouth. The sound timbre and sound pressure level is as good at the side of the mouth as it is in the front.
Sound quality, visual elegance and versatility go hand in hand to transform every
show into the performance of a lifetime. The 4088 is among the world’s smallest and lightest 14 gr. (1/2 oz.) cardioid headbands the market today.
