 Digital Audio Cable

 DA202-2P

This cable is designed to satisfy the requirements of the AES/EBU digital audio transmission system for low loss, 110ohm characteristic impedance, twin screened cable.

Available in 2-channel multicore with individually jacketed cores. Each channel uses braided screening for reliability and flexibility when used in mobile recording, outside broadcast, stage recording and other active applications. The 25AWG conductors allow use with punch down termination in static applications. Integral drain wire makes wiring quick and easy. Overall diameter: 10.7mm. Jacket colour: Blue

Star Quad Multicore Cables

L-4E3P

L-4E3P low profile, quad microphone cable is available in 2, 8, 12, 16 and 24 channels. Designed for situations which call for the flexibility of a braided screen but where reduced overall size of the multipair is important. The quad design means that the cable will cut down on SCR electromagnetic noise and the very high density braided screen is insensitive to handling and electromagnetically induced noises. In correctly wired and balanced systems, crosstalk between channels is better than 130dB allowing both mic and line level signals to be delivered in the same cable.

Each channel of the cable has its own sheath which is colour coded for quick identification. A separate drain wire is provided for the entire cable to provide a ground return. On the larger versions of the cable, reinforcing tape is used to hold overall cable shape. Cotton and jute fillers are used to increase the pulling strength of the multicores. All L-4E3P cables use irradiated insulation to prevent solder shrink back. Outer jacket colour: Black.

L-4E3-2H

This duplex cable, based on L-4E3-2P, employs an integral stranded stainless steel supporting wire, useful for suspending cable in free air installations. Outer jacket colour: Grey. Overall Diameter: 8.9mm

L-4E4-12P

Very similar in construction to the L-4E3-12P cable but larger (26AWG). Designed for the most demanding installations where the cable needs to be flexible yet very strong and rugged. This cable also employs irradiated polyethylene conductor insulation for improved response and excellent soldering characteristics. Jacket colour: Black.

L-4E4AT

Low profile, multicore quad fixed installation cable available in 12, 16 and 24 channels. Quad configuration offers maximum rejection of electromagnetically induced noise. Each individually jacketed channel has its own foil screen and drain wire so that grounds can be isolated if required. A separate overall drain wire is included for ground return for the entire cable.

Cotton separator tape and reinforcing tape are used to maintain cable shape and aid outer jacket removal. All channels are individually colour coded for quick and easy identification. Jacket colour: Grey.

Very high quality two-conductor cable designed for all general fixed installation applications. It uses a large number of inner conductor strands, foil screen and Tetron fibre fillers for much greater pulling strength. Overall diameter is 5.0mm

Screened-Twin Multicore Cables

L-PE

L-PE series cables are low profile multicores with very low cross-talk, good noise rejection and very high flexibility. The cable is designed for microphone or line level wiring for use indoors or on location. Each channel has two conductors with a braided shield. Shields are not insulated so grounds are shared. A separate overall drain wire is still provided for wiring convenience. Jacket colour: Black.

M202AT

M202AT is a two-conductor, foil screened, multichannel microphone cable designed for fixed studio use and permanent audio installations. Available in 2, 8, 12, 16, 20, and 24 channels. This cable uses a high twisted pitch on the conductors for low susceptibility to electromagnetic noise. All insulation is irradiated to prevent soldering shrink back and the foil screen of each signal pair is externally coated with polyester insulation so that screens are isolated from each other. There is also a master drain wire in addition to the individual drain wires for each channel. Jacket colour: Black.

MR202AT

MR202-12AT is a 12-channel, 2-conductor, foil screened, individually jacketed, twisted pair multicore cable designed for fixed studio use and permanent audio installations. Each channel is colour coded and has a PVC jacket. This cable offers high performance and low noise and is recommended for general studio installation, especially where the multicore has to be terminated in individual connectors for each channel. Musical Instrument Cable

GS-4

Single core, coaxial style, screened cable designed for small unbalanced patchcords or equipment wiring. The central conductors are very large relative to the cable diameter. The cable uses oxygen free copper (OFC) for low attenuation and polyethylene dielectric for minimal loss and optimum high frequency performance. The screen design is a combination of dense copper braid and a conductive plastic layer which dissipates static charges and reduces handling noise. NOTE: It is important to remove the black conductive layer from the prepared end of the centre conductor insulation before assembly. Overall diameter is 4.0mm

Datacable

D202P

Flexible multi-channel data transmission cable available in 7, 12, 18 and 25 pair. Each pair is colour coded for quick identification and all insulation is irradiated to prevent solder shrink back. A high density braided screen is used to prevent data lines from external electrostatic noise and to minimise radiated interference. A separate drain wire is provided. The special PVC jacket combines strength and flexibility with low brittle point temperature. Jacket colour: Sepia.

75ohm Coaxial Video Cables

These coaxial cables are designed for field broadcasting, video patching, and general instrumentation work. Inner conductors have 7 strands of copper wire for flexibility and durability.

The use of multi-strand, small diameter centre conductors and pliant PVC jacketing ensures high flexibility so cables will “stay put”. High density braided copper shields block stray RF and electrostatic noise. The tough, flexible jacket can be unwound from extreme cold and used immediately.

L-3C2VS

Two single screened precision 75ohm cables based on JISC designs. L-3C2VS is a thin profile cable for short runs and interconnects. Overall diameter is 5.5mm

LV-77S

This heavier coax cable has a double braided, high density copper shield for use where minimum attenuation is required. Although a larger diameter this extra low loss cable is surprisingly flexible and can be used in patching installations and long cable runs with great success. Overall diameter 7.7mm
